Kimi Antoneli has won the Canadian Grand Prix , extending his lead over George Russell in the drivers’ championship.
Russell suffered a painful retirement midway through the race, bringing an end to the tantalising battle that took place between the two in the opening laps.
With Antonelli out front, Lewis Hamilton claimed his best result for Ferrari as he held off Max Verstappen for second place.
The duo were involved in a late-race scrape, with Verstappen having to settle for third on the road.
The race saw six cars retire from the race, including reigning champion Lando Norris.
