Palmowski takes F1 ACADEMY win in wet Montreal Feature Race

Alisha Palmowski put in a commanding performance to take her second lights-to-flag victory in the Montreal Feature race, with the Red Bull Racing driver dominating around a drizzly Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve.

Despite the pre-race showers causing a slippery track, the Briton held firm off the line and extended her advantage lap by lap, beating the record she’d set in the Opening Race for the largest winning margin in F1 ACADEMY history — taking the chequered flag 10.9 seconds clear.

Emma Felbermayr dispatched two drivers in three laps, overtaking Payton Westcott and Megan Bruce to finish second. Bruce completed a 1-3 podium finish for Campos Racing to take her second podium of the weekend.

Westcott followed in fourth ahead of PREMA Racing teammate Mathilda Paatz. Ferrari’s Alba Larsen finished in sixth ahead of Nina Gademan. Natalia Granada moved up into the points in P8, with Rafaela Ferreira and Ella Lloyd rounding out the top 10.

Palmowski holds a 25-point advantage at the top of the Drivers’ Standings heading into Round 3. The all-female series will make its debut at Silverstone from July 3-5, but before then you can catch up with all the action, including an in-depth report from the Montreal Feature Race on the F1 ACADEMY official website here.
