George Russell will lead a Mercedes one-two off the grid for the 2026 F1 Canadian Grand Prix Sprint race – and be looking to eat into Kimi Antonelli’s points lead.
Russell out-qualified Antonelli by less than a tenth on Friday, with the Briton hoping to reduce the 20-point advantage the Italian has in the 23-lap Sprint.
But can the second row McLarens of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, or the usually fast-starting Ferraris of an energetic Lewis Hamilton and struggling on the brakes Charles Leclerc from the third row disrupt Mercedes?
