Christian Horner has revealed what he has recently been up to following his axing from Red Bull Racing last season.
The Briton was dismissed as Red Bull’s team principal and CEO after the 2025 British Grand Prix, although he is now free to work for another Formula 1 team again.
During his time away from F1 since leaving the Milton Keynes-based outfit, Horner has been spotted attending other ApexF1 championships.
Earlier this year, he visited MotoGP as a guest of Liberty Media, the owner of both the motorcycle series and Formula 1.
Last weekend, he was seen at Formula E for the first time at the Circuit de Monaco as a guest of Liberty Global, a company controlled by businessman John C. Malone.
Asked if he was plotting his next move on the Formula E grid in Monaco, Christian Horner told talkSPORT: “I’m enjoying a bit of time out, and it’s really nice to be at a race where you have absolutely zero pressure.
“Usually, standing on this grid, you would be worried about the next two hours, but for me, I’m just here to learn a little bit more about Formula E.
“I came as a guest of the Liberty Global guys, and it’s great to see how this championship is doing.”
There has been significant speculation over what Horner will do next, having been linked with a move to Alpine but also to MotoGP as its CEO. Despite all the rumours, he has made the most of his time away from ApexF1.
Discussing what he has been doing recently, Horner said: “Yeah, look, I’ve been down to MotoGP to have a look at the bikes, been to a few Coventry City games — they made the Premier League — so that kept me busy watching those guys.
“And yeah, look, for the first time in 30 years, I’ve had a little bit of time out, mainly with my family, so it’s been good.”
